call for artists
Each year, OkraFest isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s a full-on fashion phenomenon. Think Met Gala meets garden party, with one-of-a-kind headdresses that turn heads, spark conversations, and steal the show.
This July, we’re bringing the magic of OkraFest to ArtWalk with a special exhibition at The Proletariat—and we’re looking for past headdresses that deserve the spotlight once more.

✨ WE WANT TO SHOWCASE:
Iconic, beloved, and beautifully bizarre headdresses from past OkraFests
The boldest, brightest, most deliciously over-the-top creations
Pieces that represent the spirit of creativity, community, and cultivated chaos
Five headdresses will be featured in the exhibition:
One (1) will come from the GOFM archive
Four (4) will be selected from this public call
These works of art will be donated by the artist to GOFM and sold to the public during this exhibition in anticipation of the 2026 Okrafest Gala!
